In my garden I have planted ....
Jasmine to remind me of Israel. Special times special people.
Hibiscus to remind me of Antigua where I met my husband.
An Olive tree to remind me of Spain where our daughter was born......
....and this Sumach tree is the great, great, great, etc, grand daughter of the one in the garden of the house where I grew up.
Do you have something special in your garden ?
Hi Bad Penny!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely memories!
Gosh! I've never seen a purple hibiscus! It's just amazing!
I like the way you have planted to include memories, a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteI've linked you for an award on my blog today, hope you don't mind.

It's stunning Michela. Oh My Lucy I'm quite choked - you are so sweet xx
ReplyDeleteHello, That is wonderful that you have a memory and meaning for the plants you have in your garden. We haven't lived at our cottage for long. One very special wise old soul lives in our front garden though, a beautiful ancient Beech tree, which I call the Owl tree. I have a picture on my blog, and I named it after a dream I had before we moved! Thanks for your lovely post! Suzie. xxx
ReplyDeleteOur neighbours planted fruit trees at their Childrens' Christening.
