I've been trying to design a new profile pic though I do rather like my old penny. It even has the year I was born on ! However it's not showing up in pictures of followers on other blogs - leaving me a shadow !
Here's one I made earlier ! Loving rustic bird houses, duck egg blue, rusty hearts & brown paper bags - I put them all together. Umm, I wonder what my art teacher would say !
Anyway, for now the penny will stay.

There seems to be several explanations around from wanting a shilling but only getting a penny to pennies being weighted so that flipping a coin is 50/50. A badly made one wouldn't flip evenly! I'm sure you're able to flip really well ;> Like the rustic duck eggy bag. x

ReplyDeleteI suggest... put the penny on a black background and have low level raking light to highlight the detail on the coin. That will make it stand out a bit more.
