We are home safe & sound
after a rather bumpy descent to Gatwick airport
in the strong winds !
Dillon was so excited to see us
and yes they were my thrown out knickers Billy had found !
Frankie has taken over my pillow
though I removed her for a nap.
We haven't seen Bramble yet.
We are all wondering around like zombies
wondering what to do.
One load of washing done
& I'm wondering if I can get it on the line
without blowing away !
I have that horrible swaying you get
when you've been on a boat
( hope it doesn't last long )
I've opened my post & checked emails
while loading these holiday snaps.
I'm sitting here looking at a watercolour painting
of the Admiral's Inn, Nelson's dockyard
not quite believing that I was just there.
Roddy has been away since October
& Jess since November.
It's lovely but faintly surreal to be home.
Welcome home! I bet it does seem strange - although I'm sure the bills will make it seem more real!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, happy memories for you.
xx
Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing - wonderful pics - and words.
Good job you werent sailing in this *!# wind.
Welcome back, it looks like a lovely time was had.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Penny. So glad you got back to us safe and sound. The photos you have loaded are gorgeous, full of sunshine, just like here eh! still at least you can have a proper cup of tea. xx
ReplyDeleteOh-oh-oh! Those photos are AMAZING and I bet there are a gazillion more either on memory cards or stored up in your head. Glad you're all back, safe and sound (my Joe took off from Gatwick this morning and said it was pretty hairy...) Hope the swaying stops soon!

Welcome back CHICK!!!! Those are absolutely brilliant photographs - really amazing. Your family really does have the travel bug in them doesn't it? I think it is the dog danglies that everyone is scattered over the globe at various intervals.
ReplyDeleteI bet you never have to endure conversations like 'what happened next on Eastenders?'.
You are a bunch of stars!!

I've have just loved your pictures!! You've taken me on an adventure I'll never get to have, and a place I'll never get to go!
Welcome home. I loved hearing about your travels and adventures while you were away. The one thing I love about being away is coming home and my dog being crazy to see me. I hope you settle back in o.k.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Anne xx
Ah Sweetie it's lovely to see you back, however, with the weather we've had a can't imagine you're as pleased LOL! Hope the boat feeling disappears soon. Hope you are settling back into home life!

Hmph, so you're home. So get the kettle on then! Jess could be a sailor's assistant... after all, she's got the experience.
ReplyDeleteHope Bramble ok... and that you get a new pillow... without Frankie-fur on it! I suggest staying under the duvet as it's likely to get cold very soon. Did I mention that I'm not jealous?...much! I was going to go to Antigua but I thought it was a dangerous big cat related to the Jagua...
