Husband and I are in Bonny Scotland for a few days to see my mum in law, aunt in law and my sister in law is visiting from Canada.
We haven't stopped laughing mainly as sister in law has managed to fuse the whole house purely buy switching off a kettle, then she dropped the trifle on the kitchen floor.
The older generation ask what the plans are every few minutes ... It's a hoot !
Yesterday we took the ferry from Largs over to Cumbrae and had a lovely day together.
Today husband and I drove to Troon where I lived aged three to five. We parked in the road where I lived and as luck would have it a man came out of my old house so we had a good chat. I lived there in the mid sixties as a little girl as we were a services family who moved around a great deal.
Dillon had a lovely time on Troon beach where fifty years ago our border collie Beauty was exercised. It was so lovely. I rang my mum from the beach and described where I was.
Tomorrow husband and I are taking the ferry from Wemyss Bay to Bute for a bit then ferry to Colintrive then drive to Tighnabruaich for a walk to Caladh harbour then to Dunoon the ferry to Gourock !
The in laws are going to Paris to watch the finish of the Tour de France. My father in law who died a couple of years ago was a famous cyclist in his day.
Over a glass of wine or two we have planned Hogmanay on the Isle of Mull which husband and I have done once and had a lovely time.
The weather is amazing but I am glad to be out of the shop which has been like an oven.
Have a wonderful time. Sounds like you're having a hootaney.
