puppy

So..... Flynn did not suit pup's name and so he is now officially Rafa known as Raffie.

He is an old Soul.

He is so easy to train (  so far ! )

He has learnt to respect the cats after a few hisses and swipes from them and is settling into life here incredibly well.

So good so far .....

I loved Dillon. He had a big character, an amazing much loved family dog.

But..... Dillon died and we miss his gorgeous smile, waggy tail and happy happy doggy personality.

Everyone loved Dillon.

I don't know what to do with myself without a dog......

So......

We have a new member of the family.....

Flynn, an eight week old Labrador puppy !

He is totally gorgeous and came to work with me at the charity shop this morning;

£1 a cuddle !!!

Hi all,

thank you for all your good wishes for my mum who is doing very well having fallen and broken her hip a few weeks ago.

Mum had half a new hip within a day ! I do feel so sorry for those in terrible pain waiting for hip replacements.

My mother has done really well and I  have enjoyed spending time with her while she gets back to as normal as possible.

Family issues have reared  their heads and I  have been very stressed.

My eighty eight year old mother fell and broke her hip on Sunday. She is doing very well in hospital and in good hands.

Happy customer

Sometimes I love my job. If you are new to reading here, I am deputy manager of a village charity shop which supports our wonderful community centre. I have been involved from the very beginning about eight or nine years ago as a volunteer then co manager.

I went back to volunteering after a break and am now deputy manager.

On Saturday I sold five little ex Tapas bowls to a customer and asked if they were for cat food as I use bowls like that. The customer said not for cats but Hedgehogs ! His wife runs a Hedgehog rescue so I gave him one bowl for free.

It was a nice conversation and chatting to customers is my favourite part of the job.

The new manager has been poorly so I covered her days off and did a lot of tidying which involved quite a lot of lifting heavy items so now have back ache which is the worst part of the job !
