Something as old as me
Well it had to be this really...
didn't it ?
A fancy gate
I love this gate.
It leads from the graveyard to a leafy path
with a tunnel of trees
called Love Lane.
It's one of those semi circular gates
with a swinging gate inside...
or you can simply walk round it
as it isn't attached to anything on one side !
A ring
bit of Bling
in the Charity shop
Something Green
So much green to choose from-
I went for the obvious
Greenbanks Close
A Rainbow
Darling Daughter's new shoes
A shadow
Darling Daughter's lampshade
An empty chair

A Collection
some of my corks
A Lion
Hubby's Lion Rampant
back up on his boat for the summer.
I gave this to him over twenty years ago
when we first met.
( I suppose this could do for
" something sentimental " too !)
Something Sentimental
A tiny coral heart
found on a beach in Antigua
for me by my husband many years ago
while he was away from home.
Peeling Paint
My awful front door !
A Lamb
A rather sad looking lamb
found in an old box of toys in the leaky shed.
We had boxes of toys all over the garden for a house warming party...
eight years ago this May !
I must clean them up and store them properly in the loft.
Thank you to
for organising our monthly scavenger hunt.Blogger has been playing up
and all my photos went missing.
When I retrieved them
they were peculiar.
It's been really frustrating -
Hope to do better next month !
Love the shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos Penny. What a lot of corks you little rascal.
ReplyDeleteSend the door through the post it will come back re-painted!
The tiny coral heart is so sweet - but it is the lamb that wins my heart.

Blogger has been driving me nuts, having been forced over to using the new editor. I was so used to the old one, and it takes me a while to grasp change! Those rainbow pumps are a bit unusual, and a very nice improvise. I was born in the early to mid 60s too. Your toy lamb looks even older! x
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed looking at your lovely variety of photos ~ it's such fun seeing what each person chose for the scavenger hunt! I loved the shoes, too, and the pretty lampshade. Thanks for coming by to see my selection :) Wonder what April will look like?
ReplyDeleteThe poor little lamb is only as old as my children & not me. He needs some TLC ! I now wish I'd chosen a different chair from two other photos I had & a better peeling paint picture but March - and my patience with Blogger was running out !
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking & leaving a comment x
I love the way you explain all your choices. The shoes are wonderful!

Great photos! I love the way you have taken the penny and the gate. The chair looks interesting and quite old. Thanks for visiting my photos and leaving a comment, I've added you to my list of participating blogs. I wonder what topics we will have to find in April?:)
ReplyDeleteFun! I've always loved treasure hunts. When I was a kid I used to unravel balls of wool all over my bedroom and make people follow the thread. A nightmare, from where I am now!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos and that gate does look lovely. I'm a sucker for wrought iron.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your April photos. :)

Hello!! I love the photos and think that the one of the gate is my favorite--I think ones like this add so much character wherever they are!!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, Thanks for stopping by to view my pictures and leave a lovely comment. It meant more to me than you know. I love ALL your photos!!! I couldn't choose a favourite if I had to. Your photo's are hands down my favourtie set that I've seen. Wishing you a fabulous day. Blessings, Kerrie. xOx
