I'm a bit of a one coffee a day girl. I may have two if I'm with friends in a cafe and chatting ( Moi ? ) Otherwise it's tea in the morning - luckily brought by 'im out-of-doors who is up first weekdays ( I do weekends ! ) and tea in the afternoon ( and if I'm really lucky a passing teen will make it ! )

This lovely pottery was made in Antigua where we used to live ( we did ! really ! I'll tell you more another time ) There was a little cafe on the dock called Skulduggery & they served lovely coffee in these cups. When we left I bought a few. I'm afraid they get left on the dresser - for safety really so I must make the effort & use them again - perhaps for special friends.

The bowl I shall use to collect the eggs !

Not feeling 100% and it's very hot today. I have decided to postpone cinema trip 'til tomorrow. ( the thought of a large town on a hot day appals me ) We live by the sea and a friend has a beach hut so I'm going to wonder down later with Dillon and he can see his little friend Roxy - a pretty little black lab.

The teens are still in bed oblivious to the fact mum has postponed cinema & shop trip ( "...if I buy the T shirt mum will you buy the trainers ? " ) They need to get Dad a birthday pressie.

No more school uniform for darling daughter as she's off to sixth form college. End of an era... seems only yesterday she finished primary school. Very proud of her.

Had a strange dream last night that I had returned home from abroad and my step father was wall papering the landing with old maps ! It looked awful. Mum had laid old carpets and rugs out for the dogs as it was a cold damp winter. It all looked terrible. I went into the lounge expecting to see a Christmas tree and all that was there was a gold table decoration. I was so disappointed.

I must tell mum later. She'll laugh - that's if she can hear me ! It's awful getting old. Mum was my strong role model. How did she get to be so old ?

Darling Daughter doesn't do old people ( or old dogs ) She's going to euthanize me. Great. The impatience of youth - just you wait. She was born in Spain so - just what happened to the extended family idea ? ( "I was born there mum - but I'm not Spanish ! " )

Ah well, Wee Man will look after his old mum. Either that or 'im out-of-doors will get his way & we'll be sailing the high seas.

Can I bring the animals ?
