Darling daughter wore this gorgeous dress to her prom. She was determined to wear red and this was perfect. She teamed it with high black shoes, a little clutch bag and dainty garnet earrings and pendant - her sixteenth birthday present from Granny.

Wanting to be six foot in heels she didn't quite make it but still towered over the lads - some of whom have a little more growing in them !

It's a long summer holiday waiting to go to sixth form college so him-out-of-doors employed her as Stewardess on a power boat for Cowes' week. The guests all loved her...and the more they had to drink the more they loved her !

Wee man and I were lucky to be invited to join the guests for the firework finale which was spectacular. What was even more spectacular was being handed glasses of champagne by my daughter - the stewardess .

Did I say that she's a bit wobbly ? Incredibly she managed both killer heels at the prom and serving drinks on a moving boat with great dexterity ! Bless 'er.
