Hello

I haven't posted for a while. There have been some unsettling politics going on at the charity shop
which has been upsetting.

Our dear old cat Bramble died last week, he was nearly 18. Jess chose him from the local cat refuge when she was eight. Bramble had rather a lot of accidents but for the last nine years has been shared by our retired neighbours who love him too. We went to the vet together and had a burial in our garden. It was sweet.

We had amazing weather here over the bank holiday weekend. The fair on the village green was busy and fun. I worked in the charity shop.

Husband and I managed to get out on our little boat with DIllon the dog !

On Friday I am due to have a guided injection by ultrasound into my painful hip. I hope it helps !

  1. Hi Penny, So sorry to hear about Bramble and sorry you've been upset by things going on at the CS. Good luck with your treatment on Friday, I hope it goes well and you get some relief from it. How's Jess doing these days? Is she still travelling?

  7. Hello ☺

Nice to have a catch up of news. There is nearly always political unrest at charity shops, I have never worked at or managed one that has been all sweetness and light.

I was so sorry to hear about Bramble, but if any cat had an adventurous and exciting life he did, it does help a little bit to know they lived a good life.

Hope the hip injection works 🤞

  8. Lovely to hear from you. I’m a volunteer at a charity project and some of the other volunteers could give Machiavelli lessons. I just try to do my voluntary class and leave. Hope the hip injection works well as I know how painful a hip can be and send you my sympathy.
